I don't understand the talks about banning US politicians to trade stocks. From what I know, Nancy Pelosi is not trading, her husband is. What would such change achieve?

So Trump would release 2.7 trillion in federal individual income tax for tariffs that generates only 31 billion in revenue a month? I don't think so. He will be talking about it past the midterms and after that he may admit it will not happen or keep repeating it until he leaves the office. It is just an unrealistic promise. Same story as with any other politician. But people will not learn, they prefer hope and comfortable lies over reality. You wouldn't replace your $2700 paycheck for $372 paycheck either. It is yet another couvert squeeze from the citizen's pocket without most of them realizing it. Afterall the citizens pay the higher price for the goods while government is keeping the difference. When you say "citizens will pay for it", it means "citizens will pay for it", but when you say or hear "the government will pay for it", it actually means "citizens will pay for it". Why? Because governments make money buy taxing its citizens. If they cannot tax you more (because of unrest or unpopularity), they borrow money by issuing bonds (hoping kids of the citizens will pay for it in taxes in the future). It would be nice if @Zapstore implemented a wish-list feature for people to save an application they are interested in to install sometime in the future (after application is more mature, etc.) There are so many new applications coming out and I lose track of them already.
