The collective illusion of majority or consensus is the reason why we do all sorts of crazy stuff in the world. In other words, people feel need to side with the majority at all times. It's fundamental in order to be part of the tribe and thus survive. The way we confirm if we're part of majority is very nuanced because we don't know exactly who or what is the majority in any given moment. The incredible @Michael Saylor on the phenomenal @nat brunell podcast at 1h:02m talking about how the pandemic and subsequent economical disconnect where Wall street made incredible profits but the working class were locked at home because "they killed grandma". It's incredible how it all connects to that climax of hypocrisy. I believe Michael Saylor will be seen as a great and fundamental figure in history. This is the greatest working class revolution in the last centuries and I'm not sure many people really understand that. Especially on the so called "left", which as we know has no meaning anymore (or ever had). i.e there's no left or right, there's just a group of elites that say they're left or right and then just dictate the culture (using fiat money) to everybody else. Bitcoin is the real political revolution of our time because it transcends/elevates this definition and thus it will allow true freedom of thought to flourish. Bitcoin is what the peasants in pre-Soviet Russia where truly looking for and not what they really got. Thank you all for the great work. These are historic times. This was an awesome podcast at the great @walker Bitcoin podcast: I absolutely whole-heartedly agree with Jeff Booth and think this aspect is truly absolutely fundamental. It seems like we are hard wired for sociability (belonging to the tribe) and that in the extreme leads to the cult of personality. This is not good at all as we've seen countless times in history. Truth should be above any individual. I think this is also what @Edward Snowden was alluding with the idea of "cast a vote but don't join a cult" at the @Bitcoin Magazine conference a few months ago. While it's phenomenal to see the change that is happening in the US, simultaneously I think it's just a bit better. Elon Musk wouldn't be Elon Musk without large hordes of government money . That's just a fact. And etc, etc, etc with many people in that camp. But sure, there's no denying this is a positive advance in the global liberty field. Bitcoin is the greatest free market that ever came in to this world. We need better leaders BUT most of all we need better systems. Bitcoin is one of the most important better systems we have. We still live in an 99% extractive economy. The goal is to live in a truly productive and free economy. #bitcoin #freemarket #nostr #philosophy
