🇨🇿V roce 1989 Nike publikovala reklamu na tenisky s Keňany z kmene Samburu. Na konci reklamy mladý muž řekne frázi ve svém vlastním jazyce a na obrazovce se objeví tradiční slogan: „Just Do It“. Když reklamu viděl americký antropolog, řekl médiím, že Afričan ve skutečnosti říká: „Tohle nechci. Dej mi velké boty." Poté Nike přiznal, že filmový štáb nedokázal dosáhnout přesného překladu sloganu do jazyka kmene a nahrál improvizaci v domnění, že těmto slovům stejně nikdo nebude rozumět. 🇬🇧In 1989, Nike published a sneaker ad featuring Kenyans from the Samburu tribe. At the end of the ad, a young man says a phrase in his own language and the traditional slogan "Just Do It" appears on the screen. When an American anthropologist saw the ad, he told the media that the African was actually saying, “I don't want this. Give me big shoes." Afterwards, Nike admitted that the film crew could not achieve an accurate translation of the slogan into the tribe's language and recorded an improvisation, thinking that no one would understand the words anyway. image
