Mastodon scopes are broken. As someone with so many followers even my followers-only replies might as well be public since they are visible to ppl following me who might not follow you, therefore I'd rather be honest and just keep everything public. Also, as a fedi dev I don't want to lie to people and give them hope that their "private" messages are private. Everything on fedi is essentially public.
Wish i was Finnish futa.
if you want to send your shekels personally hj-wards i have a Liberabay https://liberapay.com/hj/ :DDDDDDD

So far Fractal Design's Pop Air feels like a cheaper version of Define, but not necessarily in a bad way.
Comes with smaller case fans, only has 3 places for mounting HDDs but only 2 brackets for them and one of them you might or might not be able to use. It has two 5" slots on the bottom, both overlap with aforementioned HDD brackets, but it comes with a small "drawer" to occupy one of the bays. Still, it only overlaps with full-size device, i.e. an optical drive (and i have one) but "front panel" type of deal probably doesn't (unless it's a cigar tray or smth), brackets can also mount both 3.5" and a 2.5" devices by mounting HDD higher up, but it probably won't fit like that in one of the spaces, two dedicated SSD spots on one bracket that can be mounted in two places, I imagine you could just... buy another one, i saw the HDD bracket on sale at least.
Other apparent minuses are that despite having a type-c port on front panel it's occupied by a plug, you have to buy the internal cable separately, and lastly - only power switch and power led, no activity LED for you and no reset.
Also side panels are sliding, not swiveling, we'll see how those work, i generally don't like those.
This whole thing feels like it was made to fit the (lower) price but corners were cut where it's least important or there are some added benefits.
- No reset button? just hold the power button
- Activity LED isn't all that important, and it's not hard to jury-rig your own
- You do get 5" trays but at the bottom (while in a lot of PC cases you get zero)
- 5" trays don't have separate plugs but one is occupied by a "drawer"
- 5" trays have one cover which doesn't open like a door but more of a removable thing, but hey, at least it's magnetic. (and hey, reason i'm replacing my current case is because it has quite a useless and oversized door and despite me not using it all that much one of the hinges broke.
We'll see how it works in action and how well installation goes. Still waiting for one final task to be done on the system before the reassembly.
