#BIP110 is the latest attempt to change Bitcoin's direction, unfortunately these proposals are going to continue in one form or another forever
In this latest case of 'saving Bitcoin' we need to be aware that 'spam and data limits' may be the cover story, while some individuals could have ulterior motives to shape Bitcoin in ways that align with their views
BIP110 is an amazing representation of Bitcoin's decentralized feature
Without a leader we are forced to clash as a community over every decision
The big blockers during the blocksize wars were drumming up support for their cause, while the uninitiated were unaware that if the big blockers won, normal node runners would be forced out because you would need data centre level capacity to run a node
This was obvious from emails subsequently released showing scammers like BA were actively encouraging the removal of early idealists
They wanted control of the network and ultimately failed.... for now
But they slinked back to their holes to fight another day
And Bitcoin will continually suffer these attempts to co opt it
Unfortunately this is the price we must pay to save Satoshi's life and to spend eternity solving our disputes with each other
As the fiat ponzi price continues to rise, it will attract the same scammers to try again, or new scammers using their fresh narrative on how they need to save Bitcoin
