I just had an eagle land in my yard, that's unusual.

The bears are awake. It you carry bear spray, carry some baby shampoo too. I have it on good authority that this is the best way to clean it off of you if it blows back. Remember that the carrier for the active ingredient, capsaicin, is oil. When the pepper smell dissipates in two weeks, the oil will remain, creating a bear attractant. #alaska

There is a dandelion in yard. I got bit by a mosquito. I spotted tourists. It's supposed to be spring, but it's fucking snowing again :-( . GM.

Last winter, I decided to keep my chickens inside my greenhouse. I built them a 4'X8' insulated coop in there and they did well in there. We got many more eggs than normal and they didn't tear things up too bad. It's time to start getting ready to plant, so today I hauled the coop out. I cut a bunch of logs to roll it on and winched it through the door with ranger onto the tractor forks. Then drove it to the stop. Easy peasy. Nothing broke! #homesteading
