An octopus, a badger, a swan so grand,
Etched in wood, by a master hand.
Where is this masterpiece?
The 'location riddles' of which there are 12. Will bring you to different locations in St. Annes park.
If you are unfamilar with St. Annes park get familar with it through the wikipage and a visit;
A person in an orange tshirt, a 'Riddler' will be at each location for the duration of the treasure hunt which is 1pm - 3pm.

March #Bitcoin meetup!
Opened with a brief chat on the Greenpeace art piece, inflation and banking.
Then as always we discussed what Bitcoin is, questions and answers. dublinbitcoiners.com/why-and-how-to…
Next: The Treasure grab.
This involved step by step instructions on how to create & restore a wallet and send BTC.
Once everyone was up to speed, we revealed 12 words to a wallet that had 200k Sats. Everyone then raced to restore the wallet and send the Sats to a wallet they controlled.
We then moved onto the planned topic of the day. Hardware wallets.
We spoke about what a hardware wallet was.
Built a Seedsigner from start to finish.
Created an offline seed/wallet.
We then took our master public key and created a watch only wallet.
Sent Sats to the new wallet.
And then from the watch only wallet we created a transaction and signed it with our offline hardware.
Thank you to everyone who came yesterday I had a lot of fun!
Our next event is a Treasure hunt around St. Annes park on the 29th of April. dublinbitcoiners.com/treasure-hunt

Tips for buying a Bitcoin hardware wallet
NEVER buy a hardware wallet from a reseller (Amazon or Ebay). Buy directly from the manufacturer!
For privacy use a parcel locker like OOHPod .com rather than using your home address.
Choose a wallet that uses open-source software.

Bitcoin is a distributed network. It is decentralised. It has no central point of attack.
Running a Bitcoin node helps in the decentralisation of Bitcoin.
War, natural disasters, power failures/outages, governments it doesn't matter...tick, tock, next block.
Talking nodes at our meetup tomorrow at 1pm

By running a node you store a copy of the entire #Bitcoin blockchain.
You can explore your own copy of the blockchain privately through a block explorer.
Online block explorers may log your IP address in relation to searches for specific wallet addresses or transaction IDs.

What is a Bitcoin node?
A node is a computer that runs Bitcoin software, stores Bitcoin transactions and is connected to the Bitcoin network.
Bitcoin nodes broadcast, validate incoming transactions and store transactions.
Bitcoin transactions are stored together in blocks.

Your node helps reduce your reliance on third parties.
Using hot wallets you connect to third party servers and their nodes. They can see your IP address, your balances & spending activity.
Using a node helps increase your privacy.
Talking nodes this Saturday 25th Feb at 1pm! #Bitcoin

By running a node you store a copy of the #Bitcoin ruleset and the entire growing blockchain.
This allows you to verify received transactions without third parties
