Soon you’re addicted to dreams they’ve spun, Chasing a happiness that was there all along. Gandhi once said, "Start peace within," But these loans tempt me to let them in. What if I take the bait, just this once, Live the dream and escape the months? I get the loan—oh, what a thrill, Until the bills stack and climb higher still. Another loan now, to pay off the first, Caught in a cycle, the bubble’s burst. A life on loan, with debts to pay, This dream they sold is slipping away. It came from in my inbox, like a friendly hand, But now I drown in debts they planned. What have I done? Why did I fall? Who am I now, behind this wall?
