This morning a coworker tried to tell me we didn’t have to put our rain gear on because his weather app said it wasn’t raining. This was coming less than 10 minutes after we had both just driven to work with our windshield wipers going at a full clip and scampered from our cars into the shop to avoid getting soaked from the rain… we are so brainwashed into trusting “authority” or “the experts” that some people will literally believe an app over their own direct observation on if it’s raining or not. It’s stunning to see this level of inability to think for yourself.
