I have a few friends and family members who are in tough financial situations. Credit card/student loan debt, and horrible spending habits. They have this circular habit of spending more than they make further increasing their debt. Some have even asked me for help, but without following through on what we discuss. It kills me seeing those I love making decisions that put themselves further behind. I'm thankful that I'm financially literate live a life of low time preference.
