A quick note on the riots in 🇫🇷 .The actual unrest happening in France is a result of a long anticipated plot to usher in new liberticide rules. Both sides are wrong!! On one hand you have disenfranchised “banlieusards” ,French citizen descendant of immigrants former french colonies. Brainless degenerate youth engulfed in violence. I noticed media are quick to point out their foreign origins, they are only French when they score goals for the National team. The 🇫🇷 government failed to integrate these people into society, after inviting their parents into their country, because they needed cheap labor. On the other hand you have the French government boasting the most violent police in Europe, known for their unparalleled violence against the gilets jaunes movement. The gilets jaune were in the most part “français de souche” (ethnic French people). There are already talks about banning social media content from Macron. Imagine what will come next?? Chaos will lead to some draconian measures to reinstate order in the country.

It’s ironic to see that event that could be interpreted as a threat for #bitcoin  (big institutions filing for ETF, ordinals, etc…) usually pump the price or increase miners revenue.

Just read Nic Carter Twitter post about the laser eyes seeing Bitcoin as a secular religion rather than a tool. While I disagree with a lot of the thing he says (I have laser eyes) there are lots of truths in his statement. BITCOIN IS A TOOL NOT A RELIGION. When I started selling coffee for Sats, I had folks telling me that I was a fraud, that they would only buy my products if they were only priced in Sats. Most bitcoiners are also extremely reluctant to spend their coins. What’s the point of having them?

If you are tired of the BTC related topic, here is something for you: COFFEE CHRONICLES #1 ORIGINS image Coffee comes from the highland of Abyssinia (nowadays called Ethiopia). According to a legend, a goat herder named Kali accidentally stumbled upon coffee while observing his goats strange behaviour after chewing on coffee tree leaves. He brought back the magical cherries home, and since coffee has been fully integrated in the Ethiopian culture. Ethiopians drink ritually coffee in groups multiple times a day. COFFEE & THE ARAB WORLD image It is hard to pinpoint how coffee appeared in the Arab world. It’s fair to assume than when Ethiopia conquered Yemen (fact that many ignore!) they brought along coffee beans with them. It was first adopted by Sufi monks as it helped for meditation. Muslim pilgrims helped spread coffee in Turkey, North Africa, Persia and Egypt. Coffeehouses were banned by rulers, as many of them involved gambling and prostitution. In Constantinople (Istanbul) people caught drinking coffee were thrown in the Bosporus. It seems like ruler were more afraid of the gathering power of coffee. In Turkey, a woman could divorce a man if the man couldn’t provide enough coffee. COFFEE, THE WEST & SMUGGLERS image Soon after the Ottomans occupied Yemen in the 16th century, coffee became rapidly one of their most important export. No coffee was allowed to leave the port of Mocha. One muslim pilgrim managed to smuggle beans to Mysore southern India. offee was highly exotic, and reserved to the upper class. The Italians were the first one to appreciate coffee through trade with the Ottoman. The first coffeehouse opened in Venice, and became a symbol of descent companionship, and intellectual conversations. The Dutch, who were dominating the shipping trade, got their hands on coffee too, and started cultivating it in the East Indies (Bali, Sumatra, etc). France followed later on, with the help of the Turkish ambassador introducing coffee to mundane parties in Paris. Coffee attracted intellectual figures such as Voltaire, and Rousseau. Finally a space where men & women could interact without alcohol. More to come. Share or ⚡️ if you liked the content! #coffeechain
