Ever opened LinkedIn and felt like you’re watching two different movies on the same screen?
Just the other day, I saw one CEO talking about “the beauty of simple living” right next to a post about “optimising operations” - which, by the way, meant 200 employees were suddenly jobless.
I nearly choked on my filter coffee when I saw the same person, who just cut holiday bonuses, posting about their “inner peace” from a yoga retreat in Bali.
Don’t get me wrong - I’m all for wellbeing and mental health. But when these gyaan sessions come from folks who’ve earned massive bonuses by trimming down teams and cutting benefits, it feels… how to say… slightly off?
It’s like we’re being told to “work harder, stay humble” - by people posting from their third vacation home. “Don’t run behind money,” they say - from a five-star resort in the Maldives.
Is it just me who’s confused, or are others also seeing the irony? LinkedIn is Cringe Pro Max!!
Would love to hear your thoughts.

Blown away by last night's movie - Delicious.
A German family comes to France for their summer vacation. They didn't know, their encounter with a young housemaid is going to change their life and future.
The conflict build up is intense. Highly recommended.

I saw this Telugu language movie called "Awe". This is so interesting; I cannot give a synopsis of this movie. Because, telling anything about the story will become a huge spoiler. Netflix has this movie, with English subtitles. Interesting characters and a beautiful narration. I recommend this movie.
Thanks @VJ for suggesting this movie!

I visited this small town in Carbon County - Jim Thorpe, PA for the second time. If you have not heard about it, Jim Thorpe is called as the Switzerland of America. This town swells with the Victorian architecture. The Scenic Rail road in this yesteryear coal mining town is awesome in Fall. A nearby smaller town has a nice little lake called "Mauch Chunk Lake" with a beautiful white-sand beach. The Lehigh river offers an awesome white-water rafting. And along the river trail, there is a wonderful opportunity to do mountain biking. If you don't have your own bike, you can rent if from there.
And yes, for the food, I found two places interesting. One is just outside the Lehigh Scenic RailRoad station - a small shop with bakery goods. And The Broadway Grill (And "Underground" pub) on the Broadway is really good.
This place is located around 110 miles west of Newark NJ - on I287.
If you are on the East coast/Tristate area, have not visited Jim Thorpe, I would recommend you visit there.
