Why can't bitcoin just be "peer to peer electronic cash"?
For some people, resisting the urge to make bitcoin something more must be like resisting temptation to your favorite sin - nearly impossible.
The Bitcoin price this whole year is so obviously being manipulated.
It makes me really uncomfortable that someone out there can do that.

I used to think nothing of it, but now these messages disgust me.
Gold is good money. But the fact you can use it for jewelry, electronics, art, etc. all make it less useful as money.
Bitcoin is currently the best money. Using Bitcoin for NFTs, ordinals, or whatever other than monetary transactions, makes Bitcoin less useful as money.
You can't change Bitcoin, Bitcoin changes you.
Or, if you're a Core dev: you can't destroy Bitcoin, Bitcoin destroys you.
