Yesterday, Pres. Biden proposed a budget that makes the wealthy and big corporations pay their fair share while lowering costs for working Americans. What was Donald Trump doing? He was on TV saying he'd cut Social Security and Medicare. The contrast could not be more clear.

Because of the pay gap, women have lost out on more than $60 trillion in wages since 1967. Yes, trillion. Today women still earn roughly 84 cents for every dollar earned by men, despite playing an outsized role in our economy. We must ensure fair wages for all.

"Reminder that special counsel Hur's classified documents investigation exonerated President Biden and recommended no charges. Trump, on the other hand, has been charged with dozens of counts for his alleged retention of nat'l security documents (which included nuclear secrets.)"

At tonight's #GOPDebate we heard plans to expand the death penalty, send troops into Mexico, ban lifesaving medical care for trans kids, burn more coal, and eliminate the Dept of Education. Did I miss anything?

"School choice" sounds great, but it's a euphemism for defunding public schools and funneling the money to private, for-profit schools that don't have to accept all students, are not accountable for their curricula, and can use your tax dollars for religious indoctrination. #GOPDebate

Republicans passed a ~$2 trillion tax cut for the rich and added $7 trillion to the national debt under Trump. And we're supposed to believe they're risking a shutdown because they care about "fiscal responsibility"? It's all just a game to them.

Call me a radical Lefty, but I don’t think an entry-level federal employee should be subject to more stringent ethics rules than Clarence Thomas.

Here's the truth about tax cuts for the rich. They explode the federal debt, fuel giant profits at the biggest firms and financial institutions, and stoke a surge in billionaire wealth but do nothing for average working people. Nothing trickles down.

Notice how essentially nobody in Washington asks “if we can afford” an $886 billion defense budget? No, we only hear that when we need health care, or student debt relief, or climate action, or paid family leave, or universal pre-K, or child-poverty relief.

Let me get this straight: teachers can only write off $300 in out-of-pocket expenses for school supplies, but “three-martini” business lunches are fully tax deductible for corporations. Hello?

I refuse to tolerate a system that lets the 500 richest people add $852 billion to their wealth in the past six months alone, but doesn’t raise the $7.25 federal minimum wage for over a decade.

2023 is on track to be the hottest year on record, but we still have Republicans claiming the climate crisis is a "hoax." What planet are they living on?

Stop asking: Do Starbucks workers really need to unionize? Start asking: -Does Starbucks’ new CEO really need a pay package worth $28 million+? -Does he really need to be paid 800x Starbucks workers?

No elected official has ever been accused of anything remotely on the scale of what Donald Trump has been charged with. His prosecution isn’t a “witch hunt.” It’s a defense of our democracy. Don’t believe his lies.

With the stroke of their pens, six unelected Supreme Court justices blocked student debt relief, ended affirmative action, and made it easier to discriminate against LGBTQ+ people What happened to the belief that the Supreme Court had no role in legislating?

This is how our government has been corrupted: 1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office. 2) Elected officials rewrite the rules in the donors' favor. 3) Donors make a huge profit. 4) Repeat. For the sake of democracy, we must get Big Money out of politics.
