I lived for a few years in a country where the Web was heavily censored and VPNs were not allowed. The effect of their excessive control was that the rumors were always far worse than the real stuff. People couldn’t see some content, but the information would still pass from person to person with increasing exaggeration.

I see many people working extra hours to be (appear would be a better word) different. As a person being labeled different my whole life, I find it baffling.

Once you “get it”, do remember that for a whole lot of time you didn’t. Be gentle with those who still don’t.

Noticing stuff before most other people can be an anxiety inducing experience. You see it as important, they don’t even see it. You try to show it to them, they think you’re crazy. Then suddenly they see it to. They panic. You don’t. You get hit by a sudden wave of calmness. I foresee a whole lot of calm for myself in the near future.
