From WSJ this morning talking about Bitcoin Core Devs. This is funny "must ensure that the software remains compatible with the latest versions of operating systems like Windows or MacOS and ***that it keeps up with transaction volumes.***
#[0] was talking on Bitcoin Review Pod with #[1] about how Nostr would one day unexpectedly stumble upon it's unique explosive killer app in the future, which is certainly still true. We're still duplicating existing social media and haven't scratched the surface of Nostr potential.
That being said, I still want to point out that FREE SPEECH is already a killer app that this world needs and makes this place special. Pfizer, ABC/XYZ Agencies, and foreign governments have NOBODY they can lean on to censor individual citizens of Earth from communicating.
The astronomical alignment of Elon's Twitter Files (thank you Elon) with #[2] unleashing of Nostr feels very reminiscent to the astronomical alignment of the 2008 Great Financial Crisis and Satoshi unleasing Bitcoin. (hot take I know - but it bears repeating)
I know fiatjaf doesn't want Nostr to be a Bitcoin thing. The truth is, Bitcoin and Nostr are both FREEDOM THINGS, and for that reason they are destined to be linked.
I wasn't here for the start of the Bitcoin revolution but I am here for the start of the Nostr revolution. Human freedom is not a fundamental physical right of the universe. It's a right only in so far as we believe in it and fight for it. Never stop fighting Nostrians...Nostricans...Nostriges...Bitcoiners...Freedom Maximalists...whatever you call yourselves!
Open protocols for the mother fucking win.
MY BODY IS READY.
It would be cool if Nostr protocol allowed Satoshi firewalls for things like DMs. There's probably a million ways to leverage sat firewalls to kill off spam that plagues email and Twitter.
Shot in the dark - any Bitcoin Nostrican Entrepreneurs want to throw a few Benjamins towards a sponsorship of my son's little league baseball team in Texas? DM if so.
Real Bedford / WBD?
Unchained Capital?
Coinkite?
CashApp?
C'mon let's capture that suburban demo
How are y'all handing private key management when using a desktop nostr client? I'm not super keen on directly inputting my private key to snort.social
