While contemplating life and Bitcoin by the ocean today, I concluded: No one seems to have all the answers. I certainly don’t. BIP110 didn’t go as planned. I never said it would pass. I simply believed in the message behind it, while others didn’t. Consensus won. I respect that. Being right is nice, but being kind is more important to the soul. Words can hurt, but they don’t define the person you criticize or call names. They define you. Sound money and Bitcoin matter in my life. I hope Bitcoin wins. But other things matter too. Let’s move forward, disagree with respect, learn from each other, grow and keep pushing for a better world 🧡

🌞Woke up thinking about Bitcoin and self custody again. “Don’t trust, verify” has been haunting me. The reality is that many of us still have to trust wallet makers, exchanges, and Bitcoin companies. My heart goes out to everyone who had their Bitcoin stolen. The thieves are responsible for the crime. The company bears responsibility for its failures. I also take responsibility for the trust I placed in them. If we want to onboard millions more Bitcoiners, we must keep making self custody simpler, safer, and more resilient. The Bitcoin world I want to live in is built on respect, self sovereignty, personal responsibility, and continuous improvement. Like a phoenix, Bitcoiners will rise.
