The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has issued a bulletin titled “Basics of Custody of Crypto Assets,” directly educating investors about cryptocurrency wallets.
The document explains that custody of crypto assets means controlling private keys, and that wallets do not store the assets themselves, but rather are a means of accessing them.
What’s significant here is that an institution that has viewed this space with skepticism and pressure for years has now moved from denial to public education. This shift in tone suggests that the reality of #Bitcoin can no longer be ignored.
