Feel like the counter narrative sense-makers have now fallen into a stale consensus too. Better to think for yourself and be in doubt.

Was taking nicotine via lozenges and pouches for the last month, ran out last night, havent had any for last 14 hours, feel fine, maybe better even. Had expected some withdrawal symptoms.

Was thinking about how it’s clear having a reliable store of value will demonetize real estate to the value of its utility, but what about stocks? How much of AAPL is SOV and how much is investment? Or the S&P, how much of it is SOV (no longer needed) and how much is investment? What is the difference between SOV and investment? Imagine in a hyperbitcoinized world, someone says, I’ve got a business idea that can earn profits on the bitcoin you invest. You don’t need to invest because you have a SOV but you might want to invest to increase your stash. But in the fiat world, it’s a lot more murky the extent to which AAPL is an investment vs a store of value. That’s because most “investing” is really just SOV in disguise. Not that many people would really invest if they had a sound SOV. Remove the SOV component from real estate and it might be worth half. But remove it from stocks, and instead of treading at 30x earnings, maybe AAPL would be at 5?

Seems like Netanyahu sees the regional balance of power shifting after Trump's trip to the gulf states, just threw up a Hail Mary to try to drag the US into a war and halt this shift. Don't think it will work. If anything, it'll push Trump away, isolate Israel further. Similar to the astroturfed riots in LA. That side is losing, so they try and bait Trump into an overreaction, stoke widespread civil unrest. Again, don't think it'll work.

The essence of racism is dehumanization. You dehumanize people by denying their agency. So and so behaves this way not because he had a choice, but due to his race. He's like an animal, he can't help himself. Humans, by contrast *can* help themselves. You see this on the left (poor guy, he's had a rough go, systemic injustice made him do it.) And you see it on the right (Group X commits more crimes per capita, so if someone is in Group X, he's more dangerous than someone in Group Y.) As though by fitting into a category, he's no longer an individual with agency. Basically, unless you treat each human as an individual with individual responsibility, rather than as part of a group, you are racist. And I'm not saying "rAciSM is bad" only pointing out what it actually is. It's denying individuals the quality of human agency, with the rights and responsibilities that flow therefrom.
