Pro tip: if you want to make a post that gets zero engagement on nostr, talk about sports. The nerds on this protocol have zero interest in sports. Not saying that’s good or bad (actually I am saying it’s bad), but people like what they like. The remedy for this is I will post more about sports. As Steve Jobs said, don’t give people what they want, but what they don’t yet know they want. My entire timeline is what you don’t yet know you want. Step into the future you autistic little bitches. You will be betting life-changing amounts of sats on NFL by the time I’m through with you.

Probabilistic thinking is for when you don't know. For things you know, it will lead you astray.

Grow some plants out on my small balconies. One was an avocado pit I put in a wet paper towel, it sprouted and I planted it in a pot. A small tree had grown up, maybe two feet tall, over the last year or two. Over the summer, we travelled, and it got hot, so when we got home all the leaves on that and the persimmon tree were dead. I watered them, the persimmon came back to life, but the avocado just had old dead leaves in it. Was bummed out because (a) plants are almost family to me and (b) I was planning to transplant it into the ground on a property we have as soon as the construction is done, let it grow into a full tree. Still, I watered it anyway, sent it good vibes, had it in my thoughts. Suddenly just today, noticed new small leaves growing out of the sides of the stalk. It’s come back to life. image

"Due to the total pussification of my mind, body and soul I catastrophically failed to see the single most important economic development in humanity’s history. This despite decades of study and pontification on the subject of economics. There is no excuse for such abject mental, psychological and spiritual cowardice. I am hereby resigning my position and withdrawing from public life to contemplate my shortcomings. Thank you for your attention to this matter.” Fixed it. View quoted note →

So much of fear mongering is taking present trends and extrapolating them linearly or exponentially into the future. But every action has an equal and opposite reaction. For every totalitarian measure, there will be a new freedom tool, for every AI advancement in making deep fakes there will be ever better and more accessible methods of verification via cryptography, e.g.. It’s almost formulaic at this point: “X is happening. If this persists, we’re all in 1984!” But they always imagine nothing *else* happens in response. It’s raining! If this persists, we’ll be flooded before long!

Fear and hope sell. But resolve carries the day. Oddly, my Twitter feed, full of click bait and noise, is often less fear-mongering than my nostr follows. What the fuck happened to “tick tock, next block?”

Think we will discover eventually that all conceptions are only maps of reality, not the territory. Like all of history, cosmology, science, theology are just maps. That it’s all a leap of faith. This might be the meaning of the Tree Of Knowledge parable.

Don't fear the central banking cartels. They would do everything and anything to hold onto power, but you are the predator, not the prey. View quoted note →

One thing I don't understand about gender dysphoria is why it always goes in one direction. Like if you’re male, and your body doesn’t meet your self-conception, why must it always be that you need to be female? Why couldn’t a man be like, “Damn, I’m just way too male for this body, I need a second penis, maybe an extra set of testicles, some mega-doses of roids?” Show up for the surgery, like LFG.

Walked into the sauna (86 celsius), two women were in it. Stayed 15 minutes, they left after 10. Went to the cold plunge pool for 3 minutes, then back in the sauna. About 5 minutes later, women come back, I'm in the same spot. We sit together 10 minutes, before they leave. I'm thinking they don't know I left to cool down. To them, I've been in for at least 33 minutes at 86, must have seemed like a God.

Best parents: create conditions for kids to make errors without catastrophic consequences. Next best: checked out parents who provide insufficient guardrails. Worst: parents who endeavor to prevent all errors.

Diet is less important than mindset. Person with the right mindset will end up with an adequate diet. Person with a good diet might not end up with the right mindset. Everything is downstream from mind. People obsess over diet because it's much easier.

Gonna change my bio to “nostr’s self-appointed theologian.” But the current bio more or less covers that. Thing is I am a theologian. And a journalist, an artist, a rapper and a comedian. Nostr is the place to showcase my skillset or lack thereof. And no one can stop me.

Yes it is. I am more with @Beefy on this even though I believe in God. The “spiritual” has to be contained within the reality as it is. Otherwise it is an exercise in semantics. One cannot describe The Everything anymore than one can describe a void. Atheists err in believing a negative without evidence. Or, put differently, absence of “evidence” (the kind for which they are looking) is not evidence of absence. An atheist has no reason to believe there is nothing. But @Beefy’s arguments strike me as agnostic, not atheistic. And the deepest agnosticism is a path to God IMO. View quoted note →

What do you really own when you own a stock other than the ability to sell it to someone else? You don’t own a percentage of its treasury or earnings commensurate with your shares. You own assets in the event of bankruptcy but are junior to debt holders and creditors, i.e., probably SOL in that case. Was thinking about MSTR, but really applies to all stocks.

I see A LOT of “it’s the Jews!” posts on this protocol of late, and while I will defend your right to say it, I’m getting aggrieved blue-hair “it’s the patriarchy!” vibes. Replace “patriarchy” with “Jews” and it’s almost word for word. “Our problems are due to the patriarchy!” “The patriarchy has held us down for so long!” Just sub in Jews now. Oh yes, you have your justifications, your rationales for why your personal problems and character deficiencies are really due to the Jews, no chance you are just falling short on your own. The blue hairs can point out the same re the patriarchy, the endless colonialism, oppression, blah blah blah. If you live in a modern western country you are still (for now) largely free to determine your own fate, whether you thrive or live a dull, stilted life and console yourself with self-pitying victim-think. And this is true even with all the geopolitical chaos and corruption. And this is true no matter your race, ethnicity, religion or other special box society has for you. You have the ability to choose the focus of your attention, the state of your consciousness. Why else tell people to “stack?” unless you thought they still had a choice? Very easy to see the blue hairs falling for an absurd psyop, harder to see yourself falling for the same (but counter) psyop. That psyop is “divide and conquer.” What the ruling class fears most is for people of uncommon ancestry to make common cause. Urging people you don’t know to “stack” is the same as saying “make common cause.” Most people here understand this. And yet they still contribute to the psyop, wittingly or not.
