Everyone knows you’re supposed to buy when there’s blood in the streets, but when it actually happens, most people forget their core thesis and cave to fear. It’s one thing if the core thesis changes, but if all that’s changed is the color of the cobblestones, and you’re not buying, you never had conviction to begin with. View quoted note →

My dog @oscarliss eats two large meals per day (he weighs 10 pounds, we give him probably 60 percent of what an average dog would get), and we feed him all day long with human food — let him lick the yogurt containers, let him have bites of salami or steak or eggs or lamb, or even apple or carrot, whatever I’m eating that he can eat. While he goes to a farm to hang out twice a week with friends, and sometimes goes on hikes with us on the weekends, he spends a LOT of time lazing on the sofa, doing nothing. And that dude NEVER gains weight. Maybe it’s because his food is raw and has no grains, but it’s baffling.

Often think of the show "The Americans" where the two KGB agents seemed like nice, reasonable people to everyone around them, but then would do monstrous things in service of the cause.

Normally I post these as plain text because no one reads nostr articles, but this one is too long for plain text. Suffice it to say this is a fictional story laying out a conspiracy that I don’t necessarily believe, but provides an explanation for something about which a lot of likeminded people are frustrated. Warning: it’s pretty dark. View quoted note →

Sucks when you planned to spend your day watching the price but the internet is down.

I go running rain or shine, even when I have a cold. It's a way to burn off bad karma.

I find myself agreeing with this and yet most who claim to find God are just drunk on a fantasy. What one claims or calls oneself is irrelevant. The truth is invisible. View quoted note →

Used to think the key to life was to enjoy the unscratched itch. Not merely to tolerate it but *enjoy* it. “How lucky I am to have this itch!” Now I’m not sure. Could scratch if you like, it’s not that important.

Few are up to the task of sustained attention and poised response, no matter the external circumstances.

An ordinary person earnestly reading the environment and responding with poise is the apex predator.

The psyop doesn’t work on me. I’m running a psyop on the psyop.

I don't care if it goes to zero, I’m bullish

I know we're in a 4th turning and Q4 has been a total bust, but I’m bullish. External reality is a reflection of internal reality. Just think it’s time.

thanks Yodl, will keep railing until there's a reckoning, and if there is no reckoning, I’ll just keep railing forever. View quoted note →
