Thrilled to have completed my fourth 50km ultra marathon repressing @Bitcoin Runners on Saturday, smashing my 50km PB by 41 minutes! The course led us through beautiful woodland trails before hitting the English South coast, where the final 12km push along Bournemouth’s busy promenade to Hengistbury Head tested my endurance. What a day!
Official time: 4:01:53 | 2nd MV40 | 7th out of 543 overall 💪
Because Proof-of-Work matters!

When Satoshi emailed Mike Hearn on April 23, 2011, saying, ‘I’ve moved on to other things,’ that was the moment we all became Satoshi.
Thank you Satoshi for giving us the opportunity to break free!
Bitcoin has transitioned from a social experiment, to a social experience.
I have found eudaemonic happiness thanks to bitcoin, family and fitness.
I will be forever grateful to Satoshi, Hal and all the cypherpunks who contributed to writing the code that made the impossible, possible. 🧡
Bushy Park Parkrun Event #1,000 🥳
The birthplace of parkrun. What an incredible experience! Pleased with my sub-700th position 😆
The start felt like a scene straight out of Braveheart—thrilling! With over 6,000 runners and hundreds of enthusiastic volunteers, the event was impressively well-organised.
Nice to bump into some other Bitcoin Runner in the melee.

Quick refresher regarding the four laws of thermodynamics:
Zeroth Law: If A = B and B = C, then A = C
Mnemonic: “You must be in balance to measure temperature.”
Explanation: If two systems are each in thermal equilibrium with a third system, they are in thermal equilibrium with each other. This law helps define temperature.
First Law: Energy cannot be created or destroyed
Mnemonic: “You can’t get more energy than you put in.”
Explanation: Energy is conserved. The total energy in a closed system is constant—energy can only be transferred or transformed (e.g., heat to work).
Second Law: Entropy always increases
Mnemonic: “You can’t even break even unless it’s absolute zero.”
Explanation: In any energy transfer, some energy becomes unavailable to do work, increasing the system’s overall disorder (entropy).
Third Law: Absolute zero is unattainable
Mnemonic: “You can’t get out of the game.”
Explanation: As the temperature approaches absolute zero, the entropy of a perfect crystal approaches zero, but absolute zero cannot be reached in a finite number of steps.
Summary:
Zeroth Law: Think of it as “defining temperature.”
First Law: “Energy is conserved” (no free lunch).
Second Law: “Disorder (entropy) always increases” (you can’t break even).
Third Law: “You can’t reach absolute zero” (you can’t get out of the game).

Getting the word out: An old friend of mine living in Granada shared this message today.
"Hello friends,
Here is an update on how we fared Hurricane Beryl last week. While we were fine and most everything is back to normal, I am including two links that show the devastation on Grenada's northern islands Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
Petite Martinique:

Carriacou:
A local Gouyave super-star Soca singer, Hollis Mapp (aka Mr. Killa) has his foundation HMF gathering emergency supplies locally and in New York and Atlanta. If anyone is moved to send goods via a quick Amazon purchase, the best location to send is to his importer/exporter in Brooklyn. The most useful items needed are: Heavy Duty Tarps (~15 mil) at least 10'x12' to be used as roofs. Large garbage bags, Diapers, Baby Wipes, Towels, Solar Power banks, solar lights, tents, first aid kits and batteries.
