I need to understand how #Nostr wallets work. I guess Nostrich created a wallet for me when I used it? I seem to have some kind of lightning address attached to my key, which automatically appears in apps when I log in to them. But where is that wallet? How do I use it? It's all very new to this old fart. 😁 I don't expect to send or receive anything, I'm just curious how they work and how they're associated with me.

I tried using the Clave signing iOS app. It worked ok with one nostr app but it didn't work very well with another. I need to understand how signing apps work, what and where they store data and whether they need to always be open when using a paired #Nostr app.

It’s strange posting something to Flotilla, getting a reply and seeing the notification in Nostrord. Except the notification in Nostrord doesn’t exist and/or can’t be displayed. #nostr

I wish had more time and energy to spend in front of my laptop building Nostr apps. For the first time in a long while, Nostr is actually a technology that intrigues and interests me. I've noticed recently, that the older I get the more I detest technology and the more it bores and irritates me. But Nostr is, dare I say, a bit fun? I'm not in the "Nostr and Bitcoin will save the world" camp. I have no interest in Bitcoin (so stop spamming me people!). But Nostr has some potential. #nostr #tech

I quickly tried out NostrMail as an experiment and it actually worked. I managed to send an email to my personal email account via the configured bridge. The message was recognised as spam, but that's ok. I used NostrMail's web UI and it was quite good. Though if I tapped refresh, it never seemed to stop spinning. It took a long time to send the email from the UI and it took a long to receive it. I liked the fact that I had to approve the sender when it received the reply I sent from my personal mail. Unfortunately I don't really see a use for it yet. #nostr #nmail #tech

It’s worth asking if anyone recommends an iOS #nostr app other than Nostur. Not one that is tied to a company’s single relay though. One that accesses several relays so I can find peeps out there.

Oh and I’m also getting spammed by people wanting me to pay money for Nostr stuff. Sigh. #nostr

I think I’ll do some research and see if there’s an old school discussion forum built on Nostr. Something with infinite sub forums (in theory anyway!), moderation, invite only.
