What’s backing #bitcoin ? (Rhetorical question/answer) What’s backing gold? Gold takes work to produce and is scarce. Bitcoin also takes work to produce and is scarcer than gold. Neither are ‘backed’ by anything except perhaps the laws of physics.

#Bitcoin is a ledger. A very big ledger. A comprehensive ledger. Anyone can hold a copy of this ledger but no one can manipulate its entries. You can keep a copy of this ledger too but you don’t have to to use #BTC . It’s this ledger that keeps your bitcoin, your money, safe.
