Do you have a job? Do you work for a paycheck? Do you pay taxes? And now for the trick question… Do you think any of this involves money? If you answered ‘NO’ you likely already understand our financial system is broken. We live with ‘currency’ (not money) that governments and central banks create at will and that steals people’s savings surreptitiously over time. Do you still think bitcoin is a joke, a scam and has no intrinsic value?

Let’s put California on the map. The dollar is still the world’s reserve currency but it will continue to lose purchasing power over time. Meanwhile nations, U.S. states, publicly traded companies, communities and individuals are discovering bitcoin as a store of value.

The wonderful thing about living in a small town is that you run into your neighbors and friends and they ask how you’re doing and know what’s going on in your life and all about your business and there’s just no damn privacy and it just makes you want to PACK UP AND LEAVE!

Bitcoin could be used as a global reserve asset. It also will be excellent as a strategic U.S. reserve. States are advancing legislation to use bitcoin to store value in their treasuries. And it makes a perfect local currency.

With all this bitcoin being scooped up they’re going to have to print some more.

MORNINGS ON A BITCOIN STANDARD One of my favorite things to do is wake up and not get out of bed. Then get up when I want to. Then feed the horses. Then make coffee (and breakfast.) Then hang out. Then clean up poop (horse poop.) Then it’s noon.

It’s nice that your wealth goes up over time with bitcoin but then again if you already have everything you want what else are you going to buy?

Looks like we’ve got rain coming. My son and I covered the fire wood. I made us ground beef and vegetables for dinner. Tomorrow I’m going to town for supplies. Prices keep going up. I’ve noticed lately, no matter what happens, what you’re doing, who you are…time goes by.
