We had a blast at the Comptche, CA fire dept barbecue yesterday! ☀️ The whole town showed up…BBQ, beer, live music, kids playing games. Nothing beats a small-town day to remind you what’s great about America. I chatted with a friend there who’s bummed about politics, saying America’s falling apart. I pointed to the barbecue, the folks of all political stripes helping out, laughing, connecting. Kids ran wild, music played. It looked pretty united to me! The media pushes the “everything’s broken” narratives, but Comptche’s barbecue showed the opposite. Neighbors sharing food, fun, and stories. That’s our strength. The real America’s in our backyards, not in the headlines.
