1. #nostr and #bitcoin together is a unique concept and we should put it forward 2. People should be able to use bitcoin however they like. if the feature is opt-in, they can decide themselves 3. I’m not saying "Zaps for Comments" is perfect. But it can solve a big problem we are facing right now 4. Decentralised network needs decentralised money to prevent spam 5. Should i care if a newbie can’t comment on my notes because they don’t have any sats? well almost no one comments except RG. I guess I need to build it and use it myself first, then ask for views. Yesterday, I was in BitDevs Istanbul meetup, and presented Nostrize to a crowd for the first time. I would say majority of the folk liked the presentation but I got some negative feedback about Nostrize too, which I was expecting. @nobody had some doubts about integrating nostr into the “legacy” apps (YouTube, X etc.) which would bring the efforts of creating the “decentralized” alternatives down. Although he may be right about that, I think Nostrize will be used only by the people who already into nostr, but still have some audience in other platforms. Anyway, there were some other topics that I would like to discuss but we didn’t have much time. If you’d like to check out the slides there are in the README or just click:
