Immanuel Kant was born 300 years ago today, on the 22 April 1724. His philosophy is described as something you cannot go around, but must go through, to comprehend modern day philosophy. He thread the needle between the British empiricists and the continental rationalists into the philosophy of idealism. I believe his philosophy is key in understanding our society today and the structure of science and economics. Through understanding Kantian philosophy we have the potential to fix the mistakes we have made in economics, and solve road blocks we have hit in science.
