Just got back from having lunch with colleagues. Got goated into a bad-faith discussion about bitcoin. Here were the highlights - "Bitcoin is basically roblox money" "Blah blah blah - greater fools theory" "Real estate is a better investment because you can't make more of it" At this point I chimed in explaining that we can and provably have made more land when its economically feasible. "blah blah strawman about rising ocean levels" I felt so infuriated. People don't want to have an honest conversation about something they clearly don't understand. Bitcoin really is an ego test. I don't want to have lunch with them anymore, which makes me sad.

After listening to my first (and only) bitcoin twitter spaces .... I'm so happy we have Nostr. What a (mostly) bunch of degenerate retards.
