A severe railway collision has resulted in the indefinite suspension of the high-speed service between Madrid and Andalusia. The incident occurred shortly after 09:00 on the section between Los Yébenes and Urda in the province of Toledo, where a Renfe AVE service operating the Madrid–Seville route collided with an Iryo unit on the same line. The accident involved a rear-end collision on the Madrid–Seville route, leading to the derailment of two carriages from the Iryo train, which fell down an embankment. Emergency services are currently attending to casualties at the scene; however, the authorities have yet to confirm the total number of injured persons or the extent of their injuries.
