I’ve said it before, but I’m so glad that politics so rarely come up on here. Almost everyone here seems nice, but a few people have pretty some pretty radical far-right beliefs. I’m not sure I’d be able to hang out here if that stuff were more in my face everyday.

Hot take incoming (for this audience anyway): I’m a crypto skeptic. Not opposed to it per se, but as a practical matter, I don’t think it’ll ever gain widespread use. There are so many scams out there that make it a risky choice as a currency, and an even worse choice as an investment. I believe unregulated markets are highly prone to manipulation. I say this as someone who started mining in 2009 and whose contributed to bitcoin core.
