Strike w/d fees seem unreasonable. I purchased ~0.03 bitcoin at the end of August. Typically, I have always been able to w/d immediately, however, a hold was placed on the w/d until today, 9/5. I need to open a lightning channel as part of a swap, so I wanted the funds to arrive asap. Despite current NEXT BLOCK fees being around 4 sats/byte, I paid over 47,000 sats for the w/d or 25 USD. This is compared to a cashapp fee of around 2 USD at the same time. Just an observation, big supporter of Jack and Strike, but I worry if the fees are remedied, they will begin to lose users.

We shouldn’t build protocols for the most lazy and uninterested humans. We shouldn’t sacrifice the high ideals of bitcoin (or NOSTR) in an effort to scale the protocol to people who couldn’t care less. If you can’t manage a private key or write down a seed phrase… Bitcoin and NOSTR will be the least of your problems. Go to Bluesky. Use fiat money.
