3-4 mining pools control > 75% of the hashrate. A disgusting shame. Until further notice, Bitcoin is NOT censorship resistant. image

I am concerned Comrade Kamala is going to win this election. The deep state and the media are on her team.

The economic thesis for “why bitcoin” is temporarily falling apart. In my opinion, over the last 4 years (approximately 1/3 of bitcoin’s existence)… Bitcoin has not protected its users from inflation Some people cannot afford a hodl time of “forever” Inflation protection should behave a bit differently All of this considered, When the world is filled with uncertainty I trust the code running on my node

The new reply guy bots DO NOT represent SPAM. The notes being generated by the bots follow the rules of the protocol! I am vehemently opposed to ANY developer or relay operator taking ANY ACTION to censor these NOTES which clearly follow the rules of the NOSTR protocol. You abusive DEVS and relay operators don’t believe in the ETHOS of NOSTR and are now censoring honest NOSTR users! Fk ordinals! Long live @OCEAN Good morning and Happy Friday.

Be aware if you use a public website to convert a bc1... address to a QR code. There are many scam sites out there that will convert it to a QR representing a different address which is likely controlled by a bad actor.

Often times engineers become so focused on engineering a particularly project, they forget to ask… “Why am I building this?” This is how I feel about OP CAT 🐈

@Derek Ross you mentioned a web client that was basic, easy to use, and fast... Was it ditto.pub? If anybody knows, lmk. I want to try a new web client.

Strike w/d fees seem unreasonable. I purchased ~0.03 bitcoin at the end of August. Typically, I have always been able to w/d immediately, however, a hold was placed on the w/d until today, 9/5. I need to open a lightning channel as part of a swap, so I wanted the funds to arrive asap. Despite current NEXT BLOCK fees being around 4 sats/byte, I paid over 47,000 sats for the w/d or 25 USD. This is compared to a cashapp fee of around 2 USD at the same time. Just an observation, big supporter of Jack and Strike, but I worry if the fees are remedied, they will begin to lose users.
