Bitcoin first reached 58,000 on 2/21/2021. 3 years and 7 months ago. If you bought bitcoin on this date and hodled, Bitcoin has not been an inflation hedge. 3 years, 7 months is 22.5% of bitcoin’s existence. Good Morning.

Some people have been speaking about how great fedimint is and how it can scale bitcoin to 8 billion people… But I am not seeing it… Forget the custodial part, I get it. But even if you put that aside, I don’t see the appeal. It’s not easy for me or a “village leader” to create a trusted community. The only community I see as available to me is the generic “Bitcoin Principles,” It closes in 2025 and I have no idea who controls those funds. Has anybody on nostr created a mint? How did you do it? Did it run on top of your own LN? Anybody on nostr part of a private mint? Because, if we, the bitcoiners, aren’t using it, a remote village or the neighborhoods of the world are not going to be using it. Am I missing something?

Although I don’t like negativity of the “news” on X, I do feel like we need better “news on NOSTR. A balanced account with real journalism. Balancing positive news with negative news. For example, what’s the update on the Trump shooting? The only way I even became aware of it was because my brother mentioned it. And then balance this with a more positive story…

Inflation is seen in many areas of the economy, but one of the obvious is sports contracts. For Example, Trevor Lawrence just signed a contract worth 275 million over 5 years. This was signed after finishing the season 0-6. Not so long ago, Joe Flacco signed a contract worth 120 million over 6 years. This was the biggest contract in NFL history. Now, it’s broken almost every year.
