Hot Take: I am officially against #LNURL and #Zaps, at least the way it’s been rolled out. #Nostr Zaps basically pushed everyone to @Wallet of Satoshi which is custodial and hugely centralizing to LN. I have a RaspPi and still, there’s no easy way to take LNURL and Zaps. Even with a VPS it’s non-trivial to get non-custodial LNURL+Zaps going. Look, you all can ‘have fun’ on Nostr (Parker Lewis on TFTC described as wasting time). But when you are harming #Bitcoin then you have lost the plot. If you LARP around then you will find out what a CBDC world looks like.

Hi! I am trying to build a Bitcoin/Fiat exchange on top of Nostr. Think Bisq/RoboSats but an inter-operable protocol and a giant open order book through Nostr relays. This also means unlike Bisq, this will be very usable by mobile clients. We need more highly usable decentralized on-ramp into Bitcoin now, more than ever. Just finished the initial protocol draft for n3xB - a proposal for building a Bitcoin/Fiat exchange on top of Nostr. Think Bisq/RoboSats but an inter-operable protocol and a giant open order book through Nostr relays. This also means unlike Bisq, this will be very usable by mobile clients.
