On my walk, sometimes I pick up trash, other times I try to boost local ecology by ripping out invasives. One of the most insidious is the Oriental Bittersweet. I highly recommend learning how to identify this one (it has distinct red roots). Once you notice it, you will see it everywhere. It drowns out the natives, kills the trees, and only caters to a handful of animals unlike the native plants. Encourage your friends and family to help rid NH and North America of this pest!

Environmentalists should focus more on market solutions to fix environmental problems. Florida Crystals is a sugar company that does regenerative farming and increases biodiversity by having a sugar cane farm. They also have an Owl Program where they provide owl boxes for 2,500 barn owls on their farms as organic pest control. Free markets can help the environment better than governments, vote with your money!
