Dave Ramsey taught me a lot about money—like how to avoid debt, stay out of car loans etc. For that, I’m grateful. His principles of living within your means and staying disciplined have served me well. But when it came to Bitcoin, I’m glad I didn’t listen. Dave says Bitcoin is too risky, too volatile, and not a real investment. But here’s what I learned: Bitcoin taught me what money really is. I was thinking today… I’d never want to own multiple homes as an investment. I own the home I live in and I’m grateful for that. It’s where life happens, where memories are made. But the idea of buying more properties just to rent them out feels like taking on a second job I never asked for—tenants, repairs, property taxes, dealing with people who don’t treat the place like you would. It’s not just about money; it’s the mental load that comes with it. Bitcoin feels different. Quietly sitting there, not asking anything of me. No maintenance. No stress. No surprises. It’s something I can truly own, without anyone in between. And I can’t be the only one starting to feel this way. I think a lot of people are beginning to question the old model. Maybe freedom doesn’t look like a portfolio of rental properties anymore. Maybe it looks like digital sovereignty—wealth you can carry in your head, not locked behind bricks and bureaucracy. For me, Bitcoin is peace of mind.
