The first time we climbed this mountain, Whitetop in SW VA, was in 2013, and we discovered a group of self-described old hippies near this spot. They were having a gourmet picnic and insisted that we share it with them. Starving thru-hikers that we were, we gorged ourselves on brie and prosciutto. image

So this guy climbed Mount Everest and then skied back to base camp - without supplemental oxygen, something that has never been done before. I'd give it a shot, if I wasn't afraid of heights and didn't hate the cold.

It's been a busy week. We're heading to Costa Rica in a few days, which should be awesome. It will be my first trip to Latin America. I just got diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, so I'm learning how to manage that. Still on a continuous hunet for good books, movies and apps/
