White Mountains National Forest in New Hampshire has the scariest signs. On top of Mt Washington they have a memorial to hikers who have died on the mountain and at the bottom, they’ve left spaces to add more names like it’s the employee of the month plaque or something. 
A field of lavender beside a historic church on the south side of Paris. 
It’s really kind of frightening to live in a country where half the people are detached from reality. 
The memorial to the murdered Jews of Budapest on the banks of the Danube, killed by Hungarian fascists in 1944. They were ordered to remove their shoes before being shot, their bodies thrown into the river.
