Happy Independence, The Gambia! 🇬🇲 & why Bitcoin ?
As we mark 61 years of independence, I'm forced to question how far we’ve come.
In 1965, 1 pound was just 5 of our local currency
now, it’s over 100 dalasis.
If we use currency as a measure for progress, That’s more than 20 times backwards in 60 years.
This Story is not unique to our country. This is happening everywhere Around the world, inflation eats away at our hard earned savings.
That’s why I’m so grateful to Win Ko Ko Aung. After fleeing Myanmar’s military coup, he found hope in Bitcoin as a lifeline from oppression.
Today, he serves as the head of Bitcoin education at Human Rights Foundation (HRF) and he’s giving us an hour of his time so we can understand Bitcoin, not as a scam, but as a tool for freedom.
The Gambia is the smiling coast, full of beauty and resilience. This conversation is for anyone, anywhere, who wants to understand what Bitcoin can offer them true independence.
