There’s something which really bothers me about social media platforms downranking or blocking links out of the platform. So much of what made Twitter magical was that it acted as the lead generation to so many other apps and kinds of content. Think clubhouse and only fans, but so many others. The ability to go viral and generate an audience in apps the original platform didn’t build is the magic. It’s so powerful. By limiting linking the platforms are trying to control the user experience to drive more advertising consumption. But in the end what this does create an adversarial relationship between the platform and users.

I was feeling like we weren't looking at the 1984 content reports or doing anything about them. Yeah i know a lot of folks wish content reporting didn't exist, but it does... Anyway, so i made an open labeler in case folks do want to look at and address content reports. This won't take content off of relays and won't remove stuff, but if you do want reports and to manage a relay which takes down content or labels it, you can.
