That character flaw that they so successfully manipulated [ego/narcissism] has to be overwhelmed by the anger he has to feel over this persecution."

I mean. If you _want_ to be here.
I am genuinely abusive of the service they provide. But roboneko's probably right, I'm abusive in exactly the way they need.

Gyro Protagonist, of the hit book Hummus Crash.
> Well , I can tell you. Let us call the first person… Ingrid. She made noise about us being the best server she’s been on, the mods sorted reports so fast! And then we looked into why she put through so many reports: she would jump into the replies of bigots who were doing their own thing on fedi, and then reporting them when they replied to her aggressive replies on their posts. We told her to just block them instead of engaging, as no one has ever had great success at reforming anyone in that manner.
on the clearnet there's this idea that YouTube can't die. It'll just always be there. But if it didn't... I don't think any of the hype monster video sites will carry the torch. Standard/Nebula and Magellan are better-positioned.

I hate trying to do multi-persona adversarial analysis with ChatGPT. I have to do so much extra system-prompting to not get results like this.

super excited because I just submitted my paper and code to the first group of reviewers for comment, and I was able to make a really, really good example in the code to demonstrate how the concepts can be used.
Oh goddamnit did I let Python become a pseudocode language for conveying ideas when I wasn't looking? Fuck you, AI researchers, for making that the only language you fucking know.
LEARN R. OR JULIA. OR A FUCKING REAL LANGUAGE.

Why, Dick, why didn't you give us a more accurate depiction of the future

I would like to see a competition between an AI developed to independently play a game of chess, and an augmented-intelligence human (for applicable purposes, a human with a HUD that shows them potential moves based on eye tracking). I suspect the longer an LLM-driven chess bot runs, the worse it would get, whereas the human will exhibit advantages previously unconsidered when the playing field is leveled for data (if not for time).
So, if 4chan is to be believed, we're gonna see another wave of chaos. I do wonder, though, will we see diminishing returns on repeating the exact same game?
> Stephenson explores the GUI as a metaphor in terms of the increasing interposition of abstractions between humans and the actual workings of devices (in a similar manner to Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance) and explains the beauty hackers feel in good-quality tools. He does this with a car analogy. He compares four operating systems, Mac OS by Apple Computer to a luxury European car, Windows by Microsoft to a station wagon, Linux to a free tank, and BeOS to a batmobile.
I both love and hate Neal Stephenson. More love right now.
