a spam dm with a poss mal link still appearing in certain client inbox even though I blocked the user on diff client. it is not showing in my inbox on that client. this normal?

set up an electrum wallet last night. been using iris most the day but just now it asked me through browser prompt to connect to it. didn't realize iris will automatically detect an electrum wallet?
