5th-7th books of 2025 complete: Wool, Shift, and Dust; The Silo Saga by Hugh Howey After finishing season 2 of Silo on AppleTV+ I couldn’t wait another year to see how the story played out. There are parts of the book that differ significantly from the show. The general theme and concept is the same. It does make me wonder what direction they’ll take in future seasons. Either way, this was a fascinating story of power, control, and humanities ability to both destroy and create. I leave this story thinking about one line: “The only things that are permanent are our decisions.”

2nd-4th books of 2025 complete: Dune, Dune Messiah, and Children of Dune by Frank Herbert Not only are these fascinating stories, but they’re some of the most well written pieces of literature I’ve ever come across Taking a short break in the series to read the Silo Saga series and then I’ll finish the last 3 of Frank Herbert’s Dune series
