“We may have a low time preference but that is only because we have short term memory”
- @Coleman

Even as an adult… No… ESPECIALLY as an adult
It’s important to keep feeding your creativity and imagination
Children are geniuses because they have an ability to see the world from the most amazing perspectives because they’re not restrained by what they think they know
As adults we tend to lose that perspective because we believe we have a more accurate representation of the world and reality based on our life experiences
So many of those life experiences are inaccurate representations of the world
That’s why a kid can point out the most obvious fact or ask the exact right question to make a grown man stop and realize he doesn’t have an explanation
The Superpower of children is acceptance of their ignorance. The kryptonite to that Superpower is the hubris and arrogance we develop as we get “wiser”
The more we learn the more we need to accept our ignorance
Only in ignorance can we grow
Love him or hate him, Trump is the first President in my life who has kept his campaign promises.
Whether you’re for or against his policies, isn’t it a good thing that a president finally listened to the voters and not the corporations?
Unfortunately, one thing he was always bad on is his undying support for Israel. A lot of you act like he hasn’t made his position very clear since his first term.
Trump: “America First!!”

Also, the liberty movement got Ross Ulbricht freed

A lot of people are wondering why so called “principled” libertarians are defending a lot of Trump’s actions even though they don’t align with libertarian principles
The Establishment is the antithesis of libertarian values. If Trump is attacking them, that’s 1000% better than sticking to your principles and accomplishing nothing to defeat the worst parts of our society
I’ll be the first to bash Trump for his terrible policies. But it seems counterproductive to my end goals to complain about the tactics being used to attack my enemy
You can either be unbending to your principles at the risk of total defeat or you can let your enemies fight reach other, improve your fighting position, and educate people so they’re prepared for the next fight

5th-7th books of 2025 complete:
Wool, Shift, and Dust; The Silo Saga by Hugh Howey
After finishing season 2 of Silo on AppleTV+ I couldn’t wait another year to see how the story played out.
There are parts of the book that differ significantly from the show. The general theme and concept is the same. It does make me wonder what direction they’ll take in future seasons.
Either way, this was a fascinating story of power, control, and humanities ability to both destroy and create. I leave this story thinking about one line: “The only things that are permanent are our decisions.”
