🚀 Zapstore for Android 1.0.0 now available!
This is a massive release consolidating almost a year of hard work:
- Major UX refresh across all screens
- Revamped app updates, with background downloading and checks, progress tracking
- App Stacks and bookmarks editable from the app
- Relay management for app catalogs
- Security and performance improvements, and much more
We also built and migrated to an all-new relay and Blossom server backed by a CDN with assets distributed in 3 regions for faster and more reliable downloads.
In addition to that, our new publishing tool zsp v0.3.2 was also released today!
And last but definitely not least... an amazing new webapp where we hint at what the future looks like (can't wait for Studio!).

We got a demanding bunch of alpha testers... never satisfied 😅

Apple: "For everything else there is always the open Internet. If the App Store model and guidelines or alternative distribution and Notarization for iOS and iPadOS apps are not best for your app or business idea that’s okay, we provide Safari for a great web experience too."
Just found out. Apple removed the iTorrent app from an iOS alternative marketplace (EU) by revoking the developer notarization "in order to comply with government sanctions-related rules"

iTorrent’s developer has been blocked from distributing apps on alternative iOS stores.
In August 2025, Google announced that starting next year, it will no longer be possible to develop apps for the Android platform without first registering centrally with Google.
This registration will involve:
- Paying a fee to Google
- Agreeing to Google’s Terms and Conditions
- Providing government identification
- Uploading evidence of an app’s private signing key
- Listing all current and future application identifiers
