GM! Only had a half hour in the woods before the guys showed up to pour concrete for the garage. I knew they were coming, just wanted to get some time in.
I shared a video of the ‘fireworks’ I get to watch. It’s from a factory that makes flares, and this is quality control. Yeah, first day on the job would be fun shooting them, but as the years go on, the fun would be gone.
Remember remember the 5th of November.
Not familiar with the poem, but this song does come to mind:
“Try to Remember" from the musical *The Fantasticks*:
Try to remember the kind of September
When life was slow and oh, so mellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When grass was green and grain was yellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When you were a tender and callow fellow.
Try to remember, and if you remember,
Then follow.
Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
That no one wept except the willow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
That dreams were kept beside your pillow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
That love was an ember about to billow.
Try to remember, and if you remember,
Then follow.
Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.
Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.
Follow, follow, follow, follow, follow,
Follow, follow, follow, follow.
Deep in December, it's nice to remember,
Although you know the snow will follow.
Deep in December, it's nice to remember,
Without a hurt the heart is hollow.
Deep in December, it's nice to remember,
The fire of September that made us mellow.
Deep in December, our hearts should remember
And follow.<grok
GM !
Pretty sure I won’t see morning temps like this for a few months:

Time to bring this one out from under the tree.

Meanwhile, a little later: about 10 -15 yards to my right. Too small. Walked forward, then turned and stood right in front of me. Looked at me, but didn’t show that it felt threatened. I’ll see what it’s like if it survives another year or two.

Pretty sure that this little one ( camera 2 ) came to see me a little later:

GM.
Grabbing a few hours this morning. We shall see what the day brings.
