Observer and observed dissolve into observing. This is the way. The Original Dzogchen Transmission: the Only necessary Instruction Dzogchen takes the state of “fruition” itself AS the path. That means our awareness called rigpa in Tibetan, is not only the goal to be realized but it is also our vehicle. One initially recognizes one’s own awareness as that cognitive capacity which knows and is aware. We then remain as the “observer” of mind, mental events and experiences without judgement, opinion, grasping or rejecting; in the witnessing role, but not as a thinker, daydreamer, analyzer, seeker, or manager. Just observe. No need for other practices, rituals or further transmissions from teachers or need to resolve any philosophical questions or issues. Just remain as the observing awareness, where even the observer is observed and eventually vanishes leaving only a naked and utterly impersonal observingness. Don’t “engage with” thinking, memory and thoughts; but simply observe them instead. Being the naked and impersonal “observingness” is the total practice because the ultimate nature of Reality as “rigpa awareness” replaces the practitioner in Dzogchen. We are not interested in having any special experiences, no interest in non-duality or insights or special states. Therefore there is no interest in “enlightenment” or achieving liberation, because the “observing awareness” has never been in bondage or forgotten. No corrective actions are needed. This following quote is from the famous cycle of teachings known as the Tibetan Book of the Dead. The text was discovered by Karma Lingpa (born in Tibet around 1329). It is part of what is called “The Direct Introduction to Awareness” teaching of Dzogchen and is meant to “awaken” those who simply read and understand the text without need for any prior or subsequent practice: "And in the present moment, when your mind remains in its own condition without constructing anything, Awareness, at that moment, in itself is quite ordinary.” “And when you look into yourself in this way nakedly, without any discursive thoughts, since there is only this pure observing, there will be found a lucid clarity without anyone being there who is the observer, only a naked manifest awareness is present.” “This Awareness is empty and immaculately pure, not being created by anything whatsoever. It is authentic and unadulterated, without any duality of clarity and emptiness." Questions?

If you wish to look into the mirror of mind's nature, Don't look outwards, but turn within. Looking outwards brings perpetual delusion. But look within and you'll see your own mind. Don't follow past thoughts, Nor anticipate thoughts to come, And as for present thoughts and agitation, As soon as you turn your mind inwards, Don't try to adjust or modify it in the slightest, But leave it, just as it is, totally free, in its own natural resting place. Leaving thoughts in their natural place of rest like this Is not the actual main practice, but simply the way to leave the mind. Yet in that very experience of leaving the mind in this way You're on the verge of meeting the rigpa of the main practice. As soon as you leave the mind in its natural state, Thoughts will naturally cease and be gone. What is left when the natural radiance of thoughts has vanished, Is the essence of mind, empty and vivid. Free of fixation, dimension or limit, There arises a space-like experience. This is the empty essence, the dharmakāya. In this empty state, The nature of the mind is clear and lucid — Free of any actual characteristic one could point to, It is the natural clarity of the mind, unrestrained and unimpeded. Innately cognizant, it's the saṃbhogakāya. Besides this cognizant yet empty rigpa, There is no other one that sees. What is seen is the empty dharmakāya, And the one that sees it is cognizant wisdom, These two can be referred to as ‘empty’ and ‘cognizant’, Or as ‘all-pervading space’ and ‘wisdom.’ But they're not two different things: The nature of that which is empty is clarity, And the essence of that which is clear is empty. Therefore, clarity and emptiness are an inseparable unity. Since they're not different, but of a single taste, There's no duality of something seen and one who sees it, This is ‘seeing’ in a non-dual way. Hence it is called ‘self-knowing rigpa.’ The mind sees itself by itself. In the experience of the single taste of clarity and emptiness, Good and bad — saṃsāra and nirvāṇa — are of equal taste. Thus, ‘saṃsāra and nirvāṇa’ are not different. This is the Great Perfection, Dzogpachenpo. This Great Perfection, When it is realized by anyone at all, Brings impartial compassion And unlimited pure perception — Arising effortlessly and naturally in the mind. This is all-pervading compassion, the nirmāṇakāya. This, therefore, is the three-kāya rigpa. Decide that there is nothing else apart from this. As long as you're undecided, you’ll be scattered And never realize the nature of mind. Decision must be made in certainty. This is the view of the Great Perfection.

The SILVER DESERT ... what Gabrielle Roth spent her life making rough Maps of ... is the "territory" from which all the Rhythms proceed. It's the "territory" of Mind ... that which doesn't move while the We that we see, hear, taste, smell, touch, and think we are perceives its movement. Gabrielle spent her life making Maps. She wrote, "...those who have dared to go into the wilderness, returning to tell stories and offer rough Maps for those who might follow." The Maps are pointing to the Stillness upon which unintegrated reality effects its motion ... manifesting the perception that movement (aka energy) is real, and Stillness (aka Mind) is not real. Contrary to popular media-ted beliefs, the mind and brain are not interchangeable terms. Consciousness does not originate in the brain. Even neuroscience says that Mind is a Field ... whereas the brain is an organ within the body ... meaning that the body is within the Mind ... the Mind is not within the brain, nor the body, nor the Ego. However, because Sentient Beings pivot from the Ego ... and not the Mind ... all Sentient Beings are inauthentic. Feelings arise from sensory-based perceptions ... and thus are not the Mind. It has been said that 99.9% of what you feel is actually based on what you're thinking. Prajnaparamita Buddhists and Taoists talk of 6 senses ... seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, touching, and thinking. These 6 senses are but one sense of feeling. The senses can perceive less than 1% of the so-called electromagnetic spectrum ... many experts put that number at .0035%. The 6 senses and the feelings that arise from them are perceptions from the past. “Phenomenally, we can know no present, as it must be in the ‘past’ before our senses can complete the process of recording it, leaving only a suppositional past and future; noumenally, there is no question of ‘past’ or ‘future,’ but only a presence that knows neither ‘time’ nor ‘space.’ ” Wei Wu Wei. Is it any wonder that Spiritual Beings such as Buddha and Bodhisattva's viewed the senses as an obstacle to Awakening ... as they can only perceive such a small portion of the EMF, which is itself an illusion ... the universal Dream. The Bodhisattva Vow is focused on the liberation of Sentient Beings ... from their sentience. "As man unfolds from sensed man to Spiritual Man he gradually becomes aware of the two-way motion of all effect" - Walter Russell. All motion originates within the EMF ... that is, Divided Light. All matter is slowed down Divided Light. Even the David Bohm (considered the most significant theoretical physicists of the 20th century) understood that "all matter is frozen or slowed down (divided) light." Unlike the teachings of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Bahá'í, etc., all that Awakened Beings have uncovered, and promoted, is the realization of one's own Mind ... which is synonymous with Undivided Light ... the Still Fulcrum upon which divided light effects its motion. Join me for a trip in an amazing LightCraft, a vehicle that can reach the speed of light. We are about to accelerate to so called light speed, that is 299,792 kilometers per second (186,282 mps). If you are unfamiliar with Einstein’s theory of relativity, as we approach 299,792 kps, time slows to zero, space no longer exists, and mass cancels itself out. You do not enter a new dimension, but a dimensionlessness within the Still, energy-less, Bliss of Undivided Light. For those who have already ventured into this territory, an immediate inner inquiry comes to our attention: "How did we reach a velocity of 299,792 kilometers per second and arrive at stillness?" You just stepped into Undivided Light’s shoes so-to-say ... connecting with Light’s own point of view ... a view, to paraphrase Peter Russell, that UNDIVIDED LIGHT TRAVELS NO DISTANCE IN NO TIME, AND THUS HAS NO NEED OF SPEED. In fact, undivided, clear Light has not traveled a millimeter in all eternity. Like the Tao and Tathagata, Undivided Light does not Come and Go. Our duality reality of divided (Particle/Wave, Yang/Yin), projected, simulated light is 299,792 kilometers per second slower than the stillness of what Maharudra calls the clear Light of Vajra (and Gabrielle Roth pointed to through the metaphor of Silver Desert). When you realize that, you begin to gnow Who you are, because you have had a taste of When you are ... in other words, you will never realize Who you are, until you grasp When you are. The nature of Divided Light is not to Divide, but to show the Way Home ... and that pathway is Unfabricated Present Awareness ... NOT the cancellation of Higher Human Potential, forcing everything to be dumbed down so that sensory-based mediocrity is the status quo. The glorification of empirical evidence by Priests of Science actually encourages an inferior and potentially incurable neurosis for humanity. Nothing wrong with empirical evidence if understood in its proper place, that is, empiricism is based on the relative truth through sense perception. "Man's present civilization is erected upon the foundation of empirical knowledge obtained through his senses. In other words, the so-called "knowledge" upon which man relies is founded upon the evidence of his senses, or more simply, upon the nonexistent waves of motion of a nonexistent substance." Walter Russell. "The probability that sentient beings can see reality as it is, is zero" - Donald Hoffman.

"Choiceless awareness", is the silent and choiceless observation of "what IS", which simply means being aware of one's own thoughts, feelings, emotions, sensations, perceptions and actions from moment to moment. Choiceless awareness is a state of unpremeditated, complete awareness of the present without preference, effort and/or compulsion. Thus, on a certain day . . . A student asked his Zen master: "O master, what is the choice we must make to be aware and conscious?" The master replied with a gentle smile: "The choiceless choice is to simply Be, To be aware, to be present and to be free." The student, puzzled, asked again: "But how can there be a choice without a choice?" The master answered: "The choiceless choice is like the sky, It just is, it holds everything, it doesn't ask why." The student still confused, asked yet again: "But how do we make this choiceless choice?" The master replied: "By letting go of all that distracts, By being still, by being mindful, By being non-attached. . . The meditative state from moment to moment. The student, now in awe, bowed to the master: "I understand, O wise one, the choiceless choice, Is to surrender, to Be and to rejoice." Metameza Ushi image

Currently listening to critical path again. If you've never read it, I highly recommend. In 1981 bucky describes something just like bitcoin "time- energy accounting" and the implications it will have for all of humanity in the "design science revolution." He really saw where all of this is going, way beyond where we are even today. Although he thought it would exist before the year 2000, humans are kinda slow at accepting new ideas though. image

Interesting thing I just realized is that the number of bitcoin issued per day always adds up to a root number of 9. The number of completion. 6 per every 10 minutes 6 issuances per hour 24 hours per day. =864 8+6+4= 18 1+8=9 You can do this for any halving and always get a root number of 9. Pretty cool eh?

Awakening begins at Self-Actualization ... there no real awakening before that ... but merely an accumulation of knowledge, all of which must be Let Go before integration can occur. "There's mental inertia ... which is a bunch of philosophy, and attitudes, and beliefs about yourself, about other people, about the world we live in, about groups of people ... THIS ALL MUST GO!" - Gabrielle Roth All personal truth is mental inertia. All "personal truth" is ultimately a lie. Or ... as Dr Clare Graves said regarding the Gravesian Model of Evolutionary Development ... "The person operating at the 6th level must realize that everything that human beings (levels 1 thru 6) have ever believed in, is by and large, wrong." - Dr Clare Graves. More than 95% of humanity is currently attached to Spiral Dynamics levels 1 - 6 for their identity. The worse, and most ego entrenched of these levels is 6 ... often called Green's. " the 6th level of thinking is an attack upon nature and Nature's Laws, that should be around for the shortest period of time of any of the lower ways of thinking that we have had" - Dr Clare Graves. Community IS NOT the next Buddha! QUOTES APPLICABLE to FREETHOUGHT SPIRITUALITY: "Less than one in a hundred people become fully self-actualized (Spiral Dynamics-7) because our society rewards motivation primarily based on esteem" Dr. Abraham Maslow "The root of your spirituality is rotten without compassion." Padmasambhava Buddhist teachings on compassion are grounded in the direct realization of emptiness; without which, compassion is impossible." HH Dalai Lama "both the wisdom of emptiness (prajna) and compassion (karuna) are very important, like two wings of a bird; their integration is indispensable for inner awakening." Anam Thubten, Fragrance of Emptiness. "The realization of emptiness and compassion arise simultaneously" Padmasambhava As man unfolds from sensed man to Spiritual man, he gradually becomes aware of the two-way motion of all effect" - Walter Russell "The probability that sentient beings can see reality as it is, is zero" - Donald Hoffman. "The senses do not grasp reality in any way" - Socrates "the ego is a monkey catapulting through the jungle; totally fascinated by the realm of the senses ... if anyone threaten it, it actually fears for its life. Let this monkey go. Let the senses go ... Recognize that everything you see and think is a falsehood, an illusion, a veil over the truth" - Lao-tzu, Huahujing "The senses do not know, but man believes that his senses do know--and in that belief lies man's confusion." "Man's present civilization is erected upon the foundation of empirical knowledge obtained through his senses. In other words, the so-called "knowledge" upon which man relies is founded upon the evidence of his senses, or more simply, upon the nonexistent waves of motion of a nonexistent substance." Walter Russell. The glorification of empirical evidence by Priests of Science actually encourages an inferior and potentially incurable neurosis for humanity. Nothing wrong with empirical evidence if understood in its proper place, that is, empiricism is based on the relative truth through sense perception.
