life is not something you do but something you are. Each moment it creates you. Life uses us as its instrument of creation.

Garchen Rinpoche instructed: "Do not worry about enlightenment; the Buddha is within your mind already, ready to be seen. But because we cannot turn inward and are constantly distracted we fail to recognize the Buddha. When past thoughts have ceased and future thoughts not yet arisen, in this space between fixations, you can glimpse the nature of mind abiding like space; this is the Buddha. If you remain within this nature continuously, you are enlightened. Whenever you stop to grasp there is no cause of samsara. Whenever you begin to grasp, you have again created the cause of samsara. The Buddha is actually not somewhere far away. The Buddha is always ready to be seen. If you do not give up the fixation to a self, but try to escape from samsara by secluding your body, you will still not be liberated. If you give up the fixation to a self, while continuing to live in the world, you will be liberated. In particular when difficulties and suffering arise, do not grasp at them, let these thoughts dissolve into space. Even if there is an external so-called problem, the mind does not need to grasp. People who do not understand this sometimes commit suicide, unable to bear even the slightest problem. The Buddha is nowhere apart from your own mind.... Let go of all beliefs and do not hold on to anything. Only by seeing the space like unconfined nature of mind you will be able to destroy negative thoughts. In the true nature of mind there is no existence or non-existence, no this or that, no truth or untruth, no good or bad, no right or wrong. All worldly affairs seem futile when you rest in this nature, that abides like the expanse of space transcending time. Meditation means to first recognize and then habituate to the nature of mind. First you must understand the basic nature of mind. This mind is a single ground within which we are one. Once you have recognized the nature of mind, you must always sustain it, uphold it, without falling into distraction. To habituate this present awareness is meditation. No matter what external condition may arise, happiness or suffering, you should never stray from this clear awareness that recognizes everything that arises. You should practice mindful awareness in all your activities; this is the perfect conduct. The view, the meditation, and the conduct are all mind, the single ground. There are many thoughts that always arise, but thoughts are impermanent; they come and go. The mind from which they arise, however, abides like space; it never comes and goes. It is always there, it has always been there, and it will always be there. It is like space, or a vast ocean, or a mirror. It never goes anywhere, just like space. Therefore, do not cling to the temporary thoughts. No matter how much you cling to them you cannot actually hold on to them, as they are impermanent by nature. Rather, observe that which never goes away, the clear knowing awareness that recognizes all the thoughts arising. This awareness is the buddha within you; it is your true nature. Whatever thoughts arise, negative thoughts, sadness, afflictive emotions, do not follow them but continue to observe with mindfulness. When this mindfulness is sustained, arising thoughts will naturally dissipate without the need to abandon them. This awareness must be upheld, not only in meditation sessions, but also during all your activities. No matter what you experience, happiness or suffering, it does not affect your awareness; it always is as it is. This nature is buddha nature, and every being has it.

To be resolute in The Way means from the very beginning to never lose sight of it, whether in a place of calm or in a place of strife; to not cling to quiet places nor shun places where there is disturbance. All the holy ones have turned within and sought the true nature of reality, and by this went beyond all doubt. To turn within means all the 24 hours and in every situation, to pierce one by one through the layers covering our true nature, deeper and deeper, to a place that cannot be described. It is when thinking comes to an end and making distinctions ceases, when wrong views and ideas disappear of themselves without having to be driven forth, when without being sought the true action and the true impulse appear of themselves. It is when one can know the Truth of the Heart. Daikaku (1213-1279) Metameza Ushi

On the final period of the teachings of the Buddha: Enlightenment can be explained to be as just an awareness that we are always in this here and now. It is not something attainable or something that can be lost. We all exist in the present moment so, for each of us, it is always there whether we are aware of it or not. The Life Span of the Buddha implies that this Buddha-Nature like the present moment always IS. One’s Buddha nature is just an embodiment of this NOW which is always and forever just partaking of the aspect of abiding. This can be styled to be as everlasting and permanent. It is not only the Buddha who has this vast lifespan but also fundamentally the root base nature of all beings. We all possess the Buddha nature hence we all fundamentally have this equivalent Life Span. Shakyamuni’s resources come from his enlightenment. Enlightenment is fundamentally at harmony with all of reality. It does not give way to misunderstandings that arise from craving attachments to the world which cannot be overlooked by ordinary beings. Such as this is, enlightened resources are perfectly dynamic and unrestricted in their interactions and interrelations. The enlightened faculty of every being has equivalent resources at its disposal. Just like Shakyamuni, through the teachings of the Lotus Period we can draw from the resources of the Bodhisattva’s of the Earth. Thank You

From a friend. On higher human potential and the Transcendence of maslows hierarchy. Behavioral scientist Abraham Maslow's work on the Hierarchy of Needs was somewhat accepted by Psychology, and much was soundly rejected; as the ego-centric could not accept that his Self-Actualization was merely a stepping stone to a Higher Level of Human Potential called Transcendence. As Maslow understood it, Transcendence was the very highest and most holistic level of human consciousness. This level consciousness transcended basic needs, culture, ego esteem, positives and negatives, and even Space-Time constructs. Among Abraham Maslow's friends and collaborators was Dr Clare Graves, whose Human Evolutionary Development model (now called Spiral Dynamics) complimented Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. These two were "open to learning at any time and from any source, like bees that gather nectar from many flowers." Some of the greatest misperceptions of the Graves Model, and Becks Spiral Dynamics interpretation came from their failure to recognize that not only can Levels be skipped, but it is much easier to skip from SD-4 or SD-5 to SD-7, than going from SD-6 to SD-7. Level 6 ... which Beck called 'Green,' is the worse, ego-centric consciousness of all Evolutionary levels. "The person operating at the 6th level must realize that everything that human beings have ever believed in, is by and large, wrong." Dr Clare Graves. Dr Clare Graves said, " the 6th level of thinking (those who desire a tribal container) are an attack upon nature and Nature's Laws, that should be around for the shortest period of time of any of the lower ways of thinking that we have had" All Spiral Dynamics groups that I'm aware of are closely controlled by Level 5 and 6 personalities ... thus an impediment to Higher Human Potential. "Less than one in a hundred people become fully self-actualized (SD-7) because our society rewards motivation primarily based on esteem" - Dr. Abraham Maslow. Integration of Yin and Yang is best during SD-4 and SD-5 ... the Community paradigm of SD-6 IS NOT the next Buddha, but a most difficult and needless Stepping Stone trap consumed within a pluralist delusion that views Higher Human Potential as a threat to their Anarcho-Justice Warrior Community, Regressive Left autocracy, Oligarchical Collectivism, participatory trophies, and Woke agenda. Beck solidified the (Green) misperception of an upward hierarchical manner of development. In other words his disastrous short-sightedness in that we do not skip levels. On the contrary, not only can Levels be leaped, but it is essential to realize that SD-6 must be leaped, or one becomes consumed within a pluralist delusion that views Higher Human Potential as a threat to their Tribal, Community meme. Dr. Clare Graves said, "this theory is a systems conception of personality which may be able to integrate everything that has been put down in the literature about human behavior." Thus, Gabrielle Roth's Five Rhythms overlays without contradiction. World Peace will NEVER come by way of forced community ... but by individuals taking the Momentous Leap to Self-Actualization and Transcendence. "If you want to awaken all of humanity, then awaken all of your self." - Lao-Tzu, Huahujing

You are not a slave to "human nature." In fact there is no such thing as human nature. What we call human nature is really nothing other than habit energy. I think it would be more accurate if we called it that because human nature carries a sense of something that can't be changed or is inescapable. So there's a lot of human action that gets excused by that term. "Oh we can't avoid war, hatred, exploitation, superiority complexes etc. Because it's human nature. " No it's habit energy carried on through generations in the mental, emotional, social, and environmental conditioning which shapes the individual, their beliefs, and views through culture. While at the same time the culture is shaped by individual points of view. When we call it habit energy we see that those acts that are destructive to the self/ other are indeed a choice although unconscious to many. There's always the option for redemption you are not a slave to it. image
