#asknostr Can bots set up a full nostr profile with Nostr address and wallets linked to their account. Asking for a friend! Not a nefarious friend, just trying to work out if Nostr has the layers to provide definitive proof of a human existence and excludes bots from doing the same. Could a bot run for President?!

#asknostr What is the most barebones Nostr app you can think of, so that when I send a newbie to sign up, they don't think "Nostr is ..." By that I mean, the focus is so much on social media. Newbies finding Nostr via Twitter or on youtube etc are almost pre-programmed to think "Nostr is social media", which is not the reality, it's a whole fricking internet in the making. So I want my (go to iris.to) instructions to be: - Go to "nostr-no-name" (little clue what Nostr is) Add a nym Press Go! Mystery solved. Thought I had an egg eater, been checking nest boxes several times a day, no joy until just now. Seem that one of the flock has a mega calcium deficiency issue. This egg is paper thin, so been breaking on laying. Will chuck in some more shell but it's only one not an underlying nutrition issue. I know, I know, it's a cat pic. But I never had any time for cats, especially when this little sucker, as a kitten, crept into my bed and shat just by my left ear. We had words and it's been rosy ever since. I've mellowed and she's a "campo cat" outside all year and follows me round like a dog, almost into the town sometimes. Freaks my daughter out, should we take her home, Dad... The cat's more savvy than some of the people in town. The cat never complains, raised two small litters before the op to save us all from the trials of another litter. I must be getting old and sentimental. I recall a saying about your attitude to animals says a lot about how you are with people. oh well, I hope nobody takes it the wrong way when I tickle them under the chin.

Instead of Zen Desk or Whatsapp, or similar, I have embedded this Nostr chat as an iframe in a trial Ghost website. It asks to sign in with extension, messages go through to my DM box on Nostr, so it works on that level. It did have an impact on my own Nostr bio as explained earlier. Where are we at with the integrity of DMs? Are the privacy buffs rolling their eyes and I should be embedding Simplex or are my DMs OK with help requests from anons?

Satellite earth client is so much nicer to use than the desktop

Good old Nostr, just lost all my profile info, avatar and all the rest. Anyway, no worries, fundamentally the content is just where it should be. It should all catch up with itself I guess
